This month, Green Drinks is teaming up with Oregon Entrepreneurs Network to provide budding entrepreneurs with some tips for getting their business off the ground.
At the September Green Drinks event, Robin Cope of the Gorge chapter of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network will give a brief presentation about how to launch your "green" business idea in the Gorge. Local business leaders at different stages of launching their own "green" business will also provide a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges of launching a business in the Gorge. Richard Halpern, founder of EcoApprentice.com and Ken Whiteman, founder of Green Shipping will both field audience questions about creating a business plan and selling investors on a business plan that includes environmental responsibility in its design.
We hope you'll join us for an informational and fun evening of networking beginning at 6 p.m. at the Waucoma Club. Green Drinks asks for a $5 suggested donation to support what has become the place to learn about Gorge green businesses. Waucoma Club has generously offered to donate 10% of sales from the evening to support future Green Drinks events.
This month's Green Drinks event will benefit the Gorge Owned Business Network, a newly formed project of the Columbia Gorge Earth Center. The Gorge Owned Business Network aims to advance Gorge-owned businesses with a commitment to a sustainable and prosperous community through Education, Networking and Marketing. It is closely aligned with the mission and of the national Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (www.livingeconomies.org). |
